Charming one-bedroom in the Quartier Latin

Situated in the heart of the Quartier Latin, between rue de la Montagne Sainte Geneviève and Rue des Bernardins. The apartment is within five minutes walking from Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine River and the Ile Saint Louis. Rue des Ecoles got it's name from the famous schools, alongside:La Sorbonne (founded in 1253),le College de France, l'Ecole polythechnique,.... The Latin language has been the official language of the University up to 1793. That is how the area got it's name, the "Quartier Latin". It is a very animated district with a large choice of cafés, restaurants, museums, cinemas, bookshops and its renowned traditional open air markets: Maubert and Mouffetard . A well-maintained dressed stone building from the early 20th sentury equipped with a security system, an intercom, and having a full time caretaker, it encloses on its 6th floor (one walk up floor) this 37m2 one bedroom apartment, charming due to its warm yellow painted walls and red brick tiled floor, with a 2.70m high ceilings, south and north exposed, featuring a balcony on the street side. Facing the street the 14m2 living room is mostly decorated in a contemporary style, fitted out with a 1.40cm wide sofa bed, a rectangular dining table with a classic bench (besides there are two armchairs and two chairs), built in bookcases and cabinet. In addition there is a stereo laying down in a console, nice lamps, paintings, and two French windows screened by fabric blinds giving access to the balcony, which includes a small garden table with matching chairs and a sunshade. White painted, the 16m2 bedroom is furnished with a 1.40cm wide double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a wardrobe, a 19th century English desk, and a DVD player, a TV set down on a decorative old-fashioned sewing machine stand. The French window protected by curtains also opens to the balcony. To the left side of the main door the yellow and white decorated handy kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners, a multifunction oven, a small fridge with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a combo washing-drying machine, electric kettle and coffee maker, and a toaster. There also are two compact yellow tiled worktops, a white ceramic sink, utensils stowed away in the cupboards, and a window on the courtyard side. Although it has no door, the kitchen is set-apart. In the bathroom there is a pleasing semi-circular glass shower cabin, a large mirror above the white ceramic washbasin, and toilet. Internet access is available. The closest metro station is Maubert Mutualite (line 10) and the RER B & C -St Michel. In addition there is an efficient numerous lines' bus service.
