Fancy and calm one bedroom apartment
|
Mostly residential street situated close to Boulevard de Grenelle
Most known Parisian monument in the world, the Eiffel tower with its 3 stages totalising 320 meters high, including the antenna, and weighting approximately 7 300 tons, was built for the 1889 World Exhibition. Gustave Eiffel, French engineer specialized in revolutionary steel constructions, carried out its two years construction. On one side it faces the splendid Champ de Mars and beautiful floral gardens, and on the other side, beyond the Seine River, the Trocadero Place where is the Palais de Chaillot built for the International Exhibition in 1937, housing the Cinema Museum, the Marine Museum, and the Humain Being Museum, as well as an esplanade offering the most impressive view of the Eiffel Tower. All sorts of fashion, conveniences and other shops, fine restaurants and cafes, are found in the neighborhood.
In the beginning of the 20th century was built the building equipped with a security system, an intercom, and elevator, also having a full time caretaker, where, on the 5th floor, this refined apartment is located. East and west exposed, overlooking the street and the courtyard.
Decorated with fine pieces of furniture and bibelots, this 63m2 apartment has a nice parquet floor in the double living room and bedroom. In the hall leading to all other rooms are built in bookcases and cabinets, and paintings. There are two balconies.
French windows garnished with curtains and opening to the balcony on the street side enlighten the 26m2 elegant double living room. On one side it is fitted out with a sofa, two antique armchairs and one pouf around the nice marble topped coffee table, all standing on an oriental area carpet, other lamps and paintings. Separated by double sash doors, the dining room is furnished with a round wooden dining table with four upholstered chairs, three upholstered armchairs, a dresser, a decorative marble fireplace with an antique mirror above, pleasing lamp standing on a choice cabinet, other lamps, paintings, curios, and an oriental area carpet.
Facing the dining room, the 14m2 bedroom has a 140cm wide double bed, a bedside table and lamp, a floor lamp, built in closets, an antique chest of drawers, a cable TV, DVD, and stereo set down on a console, and a window garnished with curtains opening to the courtyard.
Across the bedroom the beige tiled bathroom comprises a bathtub, a large mirror and wall-mounted spotlights above, and a cabinet below the white ceramic washbasin, toilet, and a window.
Adjoining the bedroom is the all white-tiled well equipped kitchen, with four vitro ceramic burners and a stainless steel sink installed on the nice U-shaped worktop, below and above which there are number of quality cupboards containing all necessary utensils. In addition there are a traditional electric oven, a microwave oven, a combo fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, an electric kettle and coffee maker, a toaster, and a window.
The closest metro stations are Dupleix (line 6) and Bir Hakeim (line 6 and RER C).
