One bedroom apartment in the Marais
|
Neighborhood:
This apartment is situated between rue Rambuteau and rue Michel Le Comte. A high-demand area, the Marais is one of the neighborhoods in Paris that has preserved almost all of its pre-Revolutionary architecture. In the vicinity of this street are the Georges Pompidou Cultural Centre, also known as Beaubourg, the wide Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers, a residential and commercial street with nice greengrocers, fishmongers, and gorgeous restaurants and cafes. A little farther is the royal Place des Vosges, a must-see and the former place of residence of many historic personalities; it also has a number of museums. Most of the important points of interest such as the Louvre, City Hall, and the Seine, with its enchanting islands, are in fair walking distance.
Premises:
This 41m² (approx. 440 sq. ft.) apartment is located on the fifth floor of a 19th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens to a corridor leading to a courtyard. The door there opens directly into the staircase and the elevator. The elevator goes to the fourth floor and then a staircase leads to the fifth floor.
The apartment entrance opens directly into the living room and the open kitchen.
The 18m² (approx. 190 sq. ft.) living room has two windows with a southern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a dining table with chairs and a combo TV/VCR in a round cabinet. The living room is separated from the open kitchen by a wooden bar.
The open kitchen has two gas burners topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator, a combo microwave/oven, an electric kettle, a coffee maker and a toaster.
Off the living room is a bathroom separated by a curtain. It has a bathtub, a washbasin and a towel dryer.
The 18m² (approx. 190 sq. ft.) bedroom has two windows with a northern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a single-size bed, a sofa, a commode, a large built-in closet, built-in shelves and a closet.
The separate toilette has a small window overlooking a courtyard.
The gas heat and hot water are individual.
The nearest metro stations are Rambuteau (line 11), Hotel de Ville (lines 3, 11), Arts et Métiers, and Chatellet/Les Halles (line 4 and lines 1, 7, 11, 14, RER A, B, D).
