Neighborhood:
In the heart of the Paris, one of its most desirable and trendiest areas, the Marais, was originally a swampland until the 12th century.
From that time, little by little number of constructions was settled, such as the genuine stones and colored bricks' private mansions, being since then so peculiar to this district. All the restorations it was subject to show up today the jewels of its architecture mostly from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, a must to see for those who are fond of character buildings. It encloses famous museums such as Picasso and Carnavalet, as well as charming little streets, stylish shops, selected and traditional restaurants and cafés.
Premises:
This one bedroom apartment is located on the 5th and last floor of a walk-up landmarked building from 1732. The main entrance gate is protected as well by a code security system as an intercom.
Layout:
The entrance door opens onto a hallway. The dining room is on the left, straight ahead is the living with the open kitchen and by the right to the bathroom and the bedroom.
The 27m² living room is decorated with an eclectic style and has one window opening onto the pedestrian street and offers on nice view above the Paris's roof. It is furnished with a futon, a coffee table and a round table. There is also a cable TV (combo DVD player and stereo).
The open kitchen is stylish in a contemporary way. It is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, two vitro-ceramic burners, a combo microwave/traditional oven, a toaster and a coffee maker. There is also a laundry machine.
The 18m² bedroom has two windows overlooking the pedestrian street. It is furnished with a queen size bed, an antique style chair and some built-in closet. The white painted walls and the apparent ceiling beams gives a certain charm to this room.
The 13m² dining room can be used as a second bedroom. It has one window opening onto the street. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, a square dining table and its chairs, a coffee table and some built-in shelves. Upon these shelves, there is a computer, which is connected to Internet.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet.
The nearest metro station is Hotel de Ville (line 1,11).
Heat and hot water are both collective.
