Four-bedroom apartment close to the Place des Vosges

Neighborhood:
Very demanded area the Marais is one of the neighborhoods of Paris still having preserved almost all of its pre-Revolutionary architecture.
Oldest square of Paris, the Royal Place des Vosges' was originally named the Place Royale, which construction between 1605 and 1612 was decided by Henry IV, the king. At the floor level number of harmonious arcades surround the square, all made in red brick and stone facings. The center south and north gateways were respectively the kings and queens pavilions. Here lived many historical personalities such as the world famous novelist, Victor Hugo, at number 6 - now a museum - Maison de Victor Hugo. Many museums, art galleries, selected restaurants, and pleasant cafes are easily found in this area. In a 10 minutes walking distance, is the Bastille Place, symbol of the French Republic, and in a short distance by metro, all other important points of as the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg, the wide Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers, residential and commercial street with nice greengrocers, fishmongers, and gorgeous restaurants and cafes.
Premises:
This 140m² four bedroom apartment is located on the third floor (4th for USA) of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate opens onto a paved courtyard, which leads to the building protected by an intercom.
Layout:
The entrance door opens directly onto the living room and its open-kitchen. Straight ahead from the entrance, there is the office, the child bedroom #2 and the second bathroom. The bedroom #1 and the master bathroom and a separate toilet are located upstairs thru a staircase in the living room. Upstairs, there is a corridor leading to the bedrooms 3 and 4.
The 30m² living room has two windows overlooking the courtyard and is decorated furnished with a rectangular wooden table with its chairs, two leather armchairs, a wooden sofa bed (futon mattress 140cm wide), and a console with upon it a satellite TV, a DVD and VCR players. There is also some shelves, apparent ceiling beams and a working fireplace.
The open-kitchen has a window and it is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, four gas burners, a microwave oven, a traditional oven, a dishwasher, a toaster and a coffee maker. There is also a laundry machine (combo washer / dryer).
The 10m² bedroom 1 has one window which a view on the courtyard. It is furnished with a queen size bed, a desk, a bookshelf, and a large built-in closet with shelves and wardrobes.
The 10m² child bedroom 2 has a window as well facing the courtyard. It is furnished with bunk beds (two single size beds), a cabinet and toys.
The 25m2 bedroom 3 has a double size bed, a kitchen corner, and a window with a view on the courtyard. There is a mezzanine with 2 separate mattresses and a skylight. In this bedroom, there is a private bathroom with a shower, a toilette and a window.
The 12m2 bedroom 4 is a child bedroom. It has a mattress, a window and toys. This room overlooks the courtyard as well
The office has a window and is furnished with some bookshelves and a desk. This room has a computer with an Internet connection.
The master bathroom is stylish is equipped with a bathtub and a design washbasin. This room has a window.
The second bathroom is equipped with a shower, a washbasin surmounted by a mirror and a toilet.
The separate toilet upstairs is tiled and has a washbasin and bookshelves.
The nearest metro stations are Bastille (line 1, 5, 8) and Saint-Paul (line 1).
Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
