Neighborhood:
The district of Montmartre and art are inseparable. At the end of the 19th century the area was a mecca for artists, writers and poets. Montmartre has a physical charm and a village atmosphere that remains remarkably intact. The apartment is located just a few meters from the funicular departure station. From the apartment's window there are spectacular views of the city (such as Notre Dame, the Pantheon, Beaubourg, the Saint-Jacques Tower). Close by is one of Paris's most picturesque squares, the Place des Abbesses, with its original Art Nouveau metro station. There are all sorts of shops and services in the neighborhood like the picturesque fruit and vegetable market situated on Rue Lepic.
Premises:
This 31mē one bedroom apartment is located on the 1st floor (2nd for USA) of a walk-up 18th century building. The main entrance gate is protected by a code security system.
Layout:
The entrance door opens directly onto the kitchen. On the left, there is the living room and on the right the bedroom and its open-bathroom.
The 12mē living room has one window, which overlooks the street. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a coffee table, an armchair, a dining table, a built-in bookshelves, a decorative fireplace with a flat screen TV upon it and DVD player.
The 9mē bedroom has one window, which opens onto the courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a bedside table and a cabinet.
The tiled open bathroom has one window and is equipped with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. There is also a laundry machine (combo washer-dryer).
The kitchen is equipped with two electric burners, a small fridge, an oven, a coffee maker and a kettle.
The nearest metro station is Abesses (line 12).
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
