Neighborhood:
The apartment is in a mostly pedestrian street in the very select Saint Germain des Près quarter; more precisely the Saint Germain des Près and Saint Michel neighborhood, at walking distance from Notre Dame and Ile Saint Louis. One of the most attractive and historic districts of the Seine River's left bank, it is here where we find historic cafes such as Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, favorite haunts of some of the early French existentialists and expatriate American writers. Nearby is the rue de Buci that features an open-air market.
Premises:
This 25m² studio apartment is located on the sixth floor (seventh for USA) of an 18th century building. The main entrance gate is protected by a code security system and leads to an elevator.
Layout:
The entrance door opens onto a small hall, which leads to the living / sleeping room by the right, to the kitchen straight ahead and to the bathroom by the left.
The 13m² living room has a window overlooking the pedestrian street. It is furnished with a double size Murphy bed, a small sofa, a bistro table with two chairs, a large closet with mirror sliding doors and some shelves, which, for one of them, can be used as a desk. There is also a cable TV and a stereo.
Internet access is available.
The kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners, a fridge and a coffee maker.
The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, a laundry machine and a toilet.
The nearest metro station is St Michel (line 4).
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
