A modern one-bedroom apartment in the heart of the lively Marais

Neighborhood: This apartment is located on a pedestrian street near the center of "Chatelet les Halles", an area that can be busy both day and night. It is located just behind the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg Also nearby is Les Halles Mall. The Louvre and the adjoining Tuileries Gardens are a short walk away as are the Seine, the Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame, and the delightful Ile Saint Louis - a must see. In addition to the traditional french as well as other international restaurants and cafes, many other shops and facilities are easily found in the neighborhood. Premises: This 70m² (700sq.ft.) one bedroom duplex apartment is located on the fifth and sixth floors of a well-maintained 17th century walk-up building. The entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and an intercom. The apartment has a triple exposure: south, east and west. Layout: The entrance door opens onto a flight of stairs, which leads to the living room and an open kitchen. Straight ahead from this staircase, a door opens onto a separate toilet. The staircase goes on to the bedroom. The bathroom is accessible through the bedroom. The 25m² living room has three double-glazed windows, two of them overlook the pedestrian street and the other one opens onto a courtyard and offers a view of Paris' roofs. It is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, a desk, a coffee table, a dining table with its chairs and bookshelves. This room is decorated in a contemporary style. The opens kitchen has a window and is equipped with, four induction burners, an oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a laundry machine, a kettle, a coffee maker and a toaster. The 30m² bedroom has two double-glazed windows and a skylight, which give a lot of light during the day. It is furnished with a queen size bed surmounted by bookshelves, two bedside tables, an armchair, a round table with its matching chairs and two built-in closets. The bathroom has a window and is equipped with a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette. The separate toilet downstairs has a washbasin. The nearest metro station is Arts et Métiers (line 3). Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
