Typical Parisian style studio on the famous Isle Saint Louis

Neighborhood:
In the heart of historic Paris, the delightful Isle Saint Louis' particular charm ís in the harmony of the close-packed houses, the little cafes which can be enjoyed in a leisurely fashion, the quiet quays and the aura of the past that pervades the island. Along the island's main street, Rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Isle, there are numerous little shops, cozy crêperies, and smart restaurants, often in vaulted cellars, which form an attractive setting for an elegant meal. The nice view of the Hotel De Ville, the Quartier Latin and the Pantheon, and also of the Ile de la Cité and Notre Dame Cathedral, make for a lovely stroll along the quays or a picnic on the banks of the Seine River.
Premises:
This 55m² (approx. 590 sq. ft.) studio apartment with a northwestern exposure is located on the second floor (third in the USA) of a 17th century walk-up building. A coded security system and an intercom protect the main entrance gate.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into a corridor which leads to the living room straight ahead. On the left is the separate kitchen, the bathroom with a toilet, and then wood stairs leading to the bedroom area.
The 34m² living room is separated into two areas. The first part is the 26m² (approx. 275 sq. ft.) living area. It has two French windows overlooking a small balcony with a view of the street and the Seine River. It is furnished with two armchairs, a coffee table, a stereo, a phone, two antique style chests of drawers, a dresser with a cable TV and DVD player, and ADSL Internet access. There is also a decorative fireplace, a dining table with four matching chairs and two other small tables.
The second part is the 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft.) mezzanine bedroom area. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a bedside table with a lamp, an alarm clock and a phone. There is also an armchair, a coffee table and a fan.
The separate kitchen is equipped with three vitro-ceramic burners, a refrigerator/freezer, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.
The corridor is furnished with a built-in closet with an iron, ironing board and a vacuum cleaner.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub and showerhead, a washbasin, a toilet and some closets.
The nearest subway station is Pont Marie (L7).
Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
