The intellectual core of Paris, the Latin Quarter abounds with historical points of interest. Generations of students since the Middle Ages have kept the streets, squares, cafes, diverse restaurants and stores in this area lively and animated. In addition, the Seine River, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Boulevard Saint Germain are in very short walking distance; a block and a half away is the Sorbonne University.
