Lovely one-bedroom duplex apartment in the Marais area

Neighborhood:
This duplex is located in a very popular area, the heart of the historic Marais. It is just around the corner from the lovely Place des Vosges, just five minutes from the River Seine and 10 from the cathedral of Notre Dame and the Louvre. It is one of a number of Parisian neighborhoods that has preserved almost all of its pre-revolutionary architecture. Close by is the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers, a residential and commercial street with greengrocers, fishmongers, and lovely restaurants and cafes. A little farther away is the royal Place des Vosges, where one can find the homes of many historic personalities.
Premises:
This 35m² (approx. 375 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the first floor (second in the USA) of an 18th century walk-up building. A coded security system and an intercom protect the main entrance gate. This apartment has a northeastern exposure facing the courtyard.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into the living room area and the open kitchen and the stairs are to the right. The bedroom and shower room are located upstairs, offering privacy.
The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) living room with exposed wooden beams has two windows overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a Chinese reclaimed-elm coffee table, a dining table with two chairs, a console with a cable flat screen TV with 100 English-language channels and a DVD player. There is also ADSL Internet access, a phone, two built-in closets and some shelves.
A high speed Internet connection is available.
The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with four vitro ceramic burners, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, a combo washer/dryer, an oven, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker.
The 9m² (approx. 95 sq. ft.) bedroom is located upstairs. It has a window and is equipped with a queen-size bed, a built-in closet, a chest of drawers, an alarm clock and lamps.
The bathroom is equipped with a new power shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
The nearest metro station is St. Paul.
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
