Lovely studio apartment in the heart of the St Germain des Près area
|
Neighborhood:
Located on the famous rue de Rennes, this apartment is at the center of the residential 6th arrondissement, in the heart of St Germain des Prés. One of the most attractive and historic districts of the Seine River's Left Bank, it has a number of select restaurants and historic cafes such as Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, favorite haunts of famous French existentialists and expatriated American literates back in the day. Just beside the new Marché Saint Germain (fashion market), a few steps away rue de Buci features a special atmosphere and an open-air market.
Premises:
This 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the sixth floor (seventh in the USA) of a 20th century building equipped with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system. This opens onto a hallway protected by a guard and leads to the elevator.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into the living room area; this leads to the kitchen on the left, the bedrooms and then the bathroom.
The 21m² (approx. 225 sq. ft.) living room area has a window overlooking the courtyard with a southeastern exposure. It is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, an armchair, a dining table with three chairs, a Wi-fi Internet connection, a built-in closet and a chest of drawers. There is also a console with a phone, a cable TV (combo VCR), a DVD player and a stereo.
The 7m² (approx. 75 sq. ft.) bedroom is furnished with a double-size bed, a built-in closet and two bedside tables with an alarm clock, lamps and a phone.
The separate kitchen is equipped with four electric burners, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a combo washer/dryer, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet.
The nearest metro station is St Germain (L4).
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
