Neighborhood: This apartment is short walking distance from the historic Place de la Bastille where the new Opera is considered one of the best in the world; it was inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. This street is part of one of the city's most interesting open-air markets, the Marché d'Aligre, which is open every day except Mondays. Many services and conveniences are easily found in the neighborhood. Premises: This 48m² (approx. 515 sq. ft.) mezzanine studio apartment is located on the ground floor of a 20th century building. A coded security system protects the main entrance gate. Layout: The entrance door opens into the living room area and the open kitchen; to the left are the bathroom and toilet. The stairs leads to the bedroom area. The 21m² (approx. 225 sq. ft.) living room area has one window overlooking the courtyard with an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a dining table with its four matching chairs, a chest of drawers, a stereo, a closet, two stools and some other decorative items. The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with four gas burners, a refrigerator, an oven, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker. The 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) bedroom area has a queen-size bed, a phone, a closet, a table, a stool and a chest of drawers. BE AWARE that the ceiling is low on the mezzanine / bedroom area (170 cm - approx. 5'7") The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and showerhead, a toilet and a washbasin. The nearest metro station is Gare de lyon (L1,14, RER A,D). Heat and hot water are both gas and individually metered.
