One-bedroom apartment in the heart of Paris

Neighborhood: Just beside the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg, this street is close to Les Halles Mall. This means about a 10-minute walk to the Louvre Museum and the adjoining Royal Tuileries Garden, as well as to the Seine River with its unique islands -- Ile de la Cite and the delightful Ile Saint Louis, a must see. In addition to the French traditional and international restaurants and cafes, all sorts of services are available in the neighborhood. There are restaurants below the apartment, so it might be a little bit noisy in the evenings. Premises: This 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fifth floor (sixth in the USA) of a 19th century walk-up building. A concierge and an intercom protect the main entrance gate. Layout: The entrance door opens into a small hallway; to the left are the living room and the open kitchen. To the right are the separate toilet, the bathroom and then the bedroom. The 18m² (approx. 190 sq. ft.) living room has two windows overlooking the street with a northern and an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a sofa, a stereo, some shelves and lamps, a Wi-Fi Internet connection, a console with a TV and a DVD player. The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with four gas burners, a refrigerator, an oven, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window overlooking the courtyard with an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, a built-in closet, some shelves and a desk with an alarm clock and a lamp. The bathroom has a tub with a showerhead, a washing machine and a washbasin. There is a separate toilet with a window. The nearest metro station is Chatelet (L1,4,7,11,14, RER A,B,D). Heat and hot water both use gas and are individually metered.
