Parisian-style studio apartment in the heart of the famous Ile St Louis

Neighborhood:
This apartment is located in the heart of one of the most select Paris districts, Ile Saint Louis; it has remained much as it was in the 17th century. The area is known for its peaceful quays perfect for an idyllic walk. Along the island's main street, Rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile, there are numerous quaint shops, cozy crêperies, and smart restaurants, often in vaulted cellars, an attractive setting for elegant meals. An iron bridge leads to Ile de la Cité, which lies quietly in the shadow of Notre Dame cathedral. The home of French kings until the 14th century, the island still maintains its medieval air.
There are numerous sights in this area, such as the Saint Chapelle and across the bridges are many points of interest such as the Quartier Latin and the Marais. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood.
Premises:
This 30m² (approx. 320 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the first floor (second in the USA) of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and it opens into a corridor leading to another door, also protected by a coded security system and an intercom. The apartment has kept its original exposed ceiling beams and its tiled floor. It has a southern exposure and faces a courtyard.
The 21m² (approx. 225 sq. ft.) living room has a window equipped with an electric shutter and curtains. It is furnished with two single-size beds that can be turned into a king-size bed, bedside tables, a sofa, a dining table with chairs, a desk and built-in closets. It is equipped with a flat screen cable TV, a DVD player, a phone and a high-speed Internet connection. There is also an air conditioner.
The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with two electric plates, a small refrigerator, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.
The entrance hall has a built-in closet containing an iron and an ironing board.
The tiled bathroom has a bathtub, a washbasin, a toilette, a hair dryer and a washing machine.
The nearest metro station is Pont Marie (line 7).
Heat and hot water are both electric and are individually metered.
