Neighborhood:
The historic Marais has a particularly lively atmosphere due to its pre-Revolution architecture and a substantial number of points of interest such as museums, art galleries, design shops, and diverse bars and restaurants. Also in this area is the royal Place des Vosges, famous for the harmony of its architecture and for being the former residence of French novelist Victor Hugo. It takes just a few minutes to get to the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries from the apartment.
Premises:
This 120m˛ (approx. 1,290 sq. ft.) three-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor (fifth in the USA) of a 20th century, well-maintained building. A coded security system protects the main entrance gate opening into a corridor that leads to a second door with an intercom. This last door opens to the courtyard and to the building's entrance door. An elevator goes as far as the third floor and then a staircase leads to the apartment door.
The apartment is north exposed, faces a paved courtyard and has a wireless Internet connection.
The 32m˛ (approx. 340 sq. ft.) living room has two windows with curtains and a parquet floor. It is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, a dining table with chairs and a working fireplace.
The 12m˛ (approx. 125 sq. ft.) master bedroom has a window with blinds and net curtains. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a bedside table, a closet and a console with a TV with a DVD player and VCR.
The 8m˛ (approx. 85 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a window. It is equipped with a single-size futon bed, a sideboard and built-in shelves and wardrobes.
The 9m˛ (approx. 95 sq. ft.) third bedroom has a window and is furnished with a double-size bed, built-in shelves, and a desk with a combo TV/VCR.
The small but convenient separate kitchen is equipped with a gas stove topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a kettle, a toaster, an Italian style coffee maker and a washing machine. There is also just in front of the kitchen a small dining room equipped with closets and a square table.
The first bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, a washbasin, an electric towel-drying rack and a toilette.
The second bathroom has a shower cabin, a washbasin, an electric towel-drying rack and a toilette.
The nearest metro station is Saint Paul (line 1).
Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
