Alcove studio in Voltaire area
|
Neighborhood:
Located in the Impasse des Trois Soeurs, this furnished alcove studio is just a few steps away from the Place de la Bastille area of Paris. This dead end is situated on Rue de Popincourt and perpendicular to the lively Rue de la Roquette, which is frequented by young people. The heart of this area is the historic Place de la Bastille and its new Opéra House, considered one of the best operas in the world and inaugurated at the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. It's just a 10-minute walk to the Place des Vosges, known for its art galleries, antique shops and also for being the residence of French novelist Victor Hugo from 1832 to 1848. It is still possible to visit his apartment and the room where he wrote his novels (especially Les Misérables). In the neighborhood are a number of traditional restaurants, cafes, and open-air markets such as the one on Place d'Aligre and a second on Rue Richard Lenoir. All sorts of services are around this accommodation.
Premises:
This 26m˛ (approx. 275 sq. ft.) alcove studio apartment is located on the second floor of a 20th century walk-up building. Located at the end of a dead end, the building gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a corridor leading to the staircase.
The entrance door opens directly into the open kitchen, which leads to the living room, the bedroom area and the bathroom.
The 17m˛ (approx. 180 sq. ft.) living room has two windows with southern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a dining table with chairs, a double-size sofa bed, a chest of drawers with a TV and a DVD player and a built-in closet.
The 6m˛ (approx. 60 sq. ft.) bedroom area is accessed from the living area by a few small steps. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a bedside table and a lamp. A bunk bed is available upon request.
The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic plates, a combo microwave/oven, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The separate bathroom has a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette. It also has a combo washer/dryer.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
The nearest metro station is Voltaire (line 9).
