Studio apartment in Ile Saint Louis
|
Neighborhood:
This furnished apartment is located in the heart of one of the most select districts in Paris, Ile Saint Louis. The quiet quays and aura of the past that pervade this area provide a charming backdrop to the harmony of the close-packed houses and leisurely little cafés. Along the island's main street, Rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile, there are numerous quaint shops, cozy crêperies, and smart restaurants, often in vaulted cellars, an attractive setting for an elegant meal. Just beside the Ile de la Cité and Nôtre Dame Cathedral, it is also near the Hotel De Ville, the Quartier Latin and the Panthéon.
Premises:
This 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the second and top floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a hall where a second door with an intercom and key leads to the staircase. On the first floor, a service staircase leads to the apartment.
The apartment entrance opens into a corridor linking a closet, the main room and the open kitchen, which leads the bathroom. The mezzanine is accessible by a ladder.
The 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) main room has a window with southern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a small dining table with two chairs, and two chests of drawers. The main room has a 3.30m high ceiling with exposed beams.
The 80cm to 1.20m high ceiling mezzanine is accessible by a ladder and has a skylight overlooking the rooftops of Paris. It is furnished with a double-size bed (on the floor) and some built-in closets.
The open kitchen has a window overlooking the courtyard. It is equipped with two vitro ceramic plates, a refrigerator, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker.
The separate bathroom is accessible from the kitchen and has a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
The nearest metro station is Pont Marie (line 7).
