This comfortable, furnished studio is in the heart of the 5th Arrondissement of Paris near the Mouffetard open-air market, offering French specialties such as fresh baguettes and pastries, seafood, choice fruits, vegetables, and unique sorts of cheeses. It is also very close to the famous la Contrescarpe and a few steps from the Boulevard Saint Michel with its fashion shops and bookstores.
This area, the Quarter Latin, has been the center of Parisian education since the Middle Ages and is one of the most youthful areas of Paris. There are many convenience stores, select restaurants and cafes, and supermarkets near this accommodation. A few metro stations away are Le Jardin des Plantes, and la Place d'Italie, where there is a large commercial center with cinemas.
Premises:
This 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the first floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens into a corridor with exposed beams leading to an old-fashioned staircase.
The apartment entrance opens into a hall leading to the open kitchen and then to the living room area, which has exposed ceiling beams. The bathroom is accessible through the living room.
The 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) living area is separated from the cooking space by exposed beams and a step. It has two windows with Venetian style shutters that overlook Mouffetard Street with an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, shelves and a cabinet with mirrored doors.
The 5m² (approx. 50 sq. ft.) open kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners, a microwave, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a toaster and an Italian-style coffee maker. Next to the cooking worktop is a dining table with two chairs and a window overlooking the street.
The tiled bathroom contains a shower stall, a washbasin and a toilette.
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Place Monge (line 7).
