One-bedroom apartment facing St. Sulpice Place in the heart of St Germain area

Neighborhood:
Situated on the famous Place Saint-Sulpice and just steps from the Luxembourg Gardens, this furnished apartment is ideally located in the heart of the Saint Germain des Prés area. This neighborhood is celebrated for its elegant, trendy options - stylish fashion shops, antique shops, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants and cafes. In short distance from this accommodation are the renowned Boulevard Saint-Germain, the ravishing Luxembourg Gardens, the Seine River, and most of the monuments and points of interest. Also in the neighborhood are fine bakeries, select supermarkets, and the well-known daily Buci open-air market.
Premises:
This sunny and cozy 44m² (approx. 470 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fifth and top floor of a building constructed in 1815. The main entrance gate is protected at night by a coded system. It opens into a corridor leading to a door with iron bars and an intercom. This last door opens into the hall with the elevator and the staircase. The elevator goes to the fourth floor and the last level is accessible by a flight of steps.
This apartment faces the Saint-Sulpice church and has a southern exposure. The entire apartment has parquet floors and all the windows are double-glazed and UV-proofed.
Note that there is slight difference of level between two parts of the living room (a small step up of approximately six centimeters).It's aesthetically charming but may be a problem for elderly people not very sturdy and subject to fall.
Both rooms can be equipped with a mobile air-conditioner system upon request.
The entrance door opens into the 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) living room and the open kitchen with a 2.11m ceiling height (6.92 ft). It has two windows with rolling shutters and it is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, an armchair, a coffee table, a folding dining table with chairs and a corner closet that contains dishes, towels, sheets, shelves and a large wardrobe. It is also equipped with a Cable TV and a DVD player.
Behind the bar there is the kitchen space with two induction plates, a combo grill/microwave oven, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.
The hallway that links the living room to the bedroom has two built-in closets with a vacuum, an iron and an ironing board.
The spacious 21m² (approx. 225 sq. ft.) bedroom and its open bathroom have two windows with rolling shutters and 2.18m ceiling height (7.45 ft.). It is furnished with a queen-size bed (160cm wide), bedside tables, a decorative fireplace, chairs and a desk. There is also a chest of drawers and two small built-in closets.
The bathroom area is equipped with a shower (with a low ceiling height: 1.93m - 6.33 ft.) and a designer washbasin facing the window, which can be surrounded by blinds. The owner provides a hairdryer.
The separate toilette contains a combo washer/dryer. Be aware that the toilet is electric: Due to the European plumbing system in the building, the water closet cannot handle any items other than human waste and toilet paper. All other objects no matter how small (i.e., Q-tips, paper, hair, etc.) will clog up the drainage system. This could result in damage to the WC.
Heat is collective with the building and hot water is electric.
There is a high speed ADSL wireless internet access and a free and unlimited calls to basic phones of USA, Europe and many other countries.

The nearest metro stations are St. Sulpice (line 4), Mabillon (line 10) and St. Germain des Près (line 4). There are also a lot of bus stops around the apartment that allow for easy travel around Paris.
