Spacious one bedroom apartment in the Gare de l'Est area
|
Neighborhood:
This furnished one-bedroom apartment is situated on Rue des Petites Ecuries between Rue Martel and Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis, in the delightful Canal Saint Martin neighborhood. Bordered by trees and dotted with small bridges, it has become one of Parisians' favorite residential areas. This splendid canal, which remains one of the most idyllic Parisian landscapes, was first imagined by Louis XIV, but its construction was begun under Napoleon I and ended in 1825. The cycling tracks running from Bastille to the Villette district are perfect for a leisurely ride. Sainte Marthe place, with its cafes and appetizing restaurants, is still a treasured part of the neighborhood. This accommodation is also close to the Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord railroad stations, the latter offering high-speed trains to London and Belgium. The Louvre and the Seine River are only ten minutes away from this accommodation by metro, and the nearby République Place offers a great variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops.
Premises:
This 70m² (approx. 750 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fifth floor of a 19th-century walk-up building with elevator. The entrance gate with a coded security system opens into a hallway that leads to a second door with an intercom. This, in turn, allows access to the staircase. The entrance door opens onto the living room and open kitchen. The bedroom, private bathroom and separate toilet are accessible via the living room.
The 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) living room has three double-glazed French doors that open onto the balcony with southern exposure, overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, an armchair, a coffee table, a modern fireplace, a large dining table with chairs, a chest of drawers, and a desk with chairs. There is also a stereo and a home cinema system.
The open kitchen has four gas burners with an Exhaust Fan overhead, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer, a dishwasher, a combination washing machine/dryer, a coffee-maker, a kettle, and a toaster.
The 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) bedroom has two windows with northern exposure overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed and bedside table, a few drawer-chests, and a large dresser. This bedroom has a private open bathroom equipped with a modern bathtub and a washbasin.
There is also a separate toilet cabin.
Heat and hot water are both in gas.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Gare de l'Est (Lines 4.5.7).
