Neighborhood: This furnished studio apartment is located on Rue Charlot between Rue du Forez and Rue de Normandie, in a charming Parisian area with old buildings and hotels particuliers. This area is situated between the Oberkampf and the Marais neighborhoods, both of which are famous for their many trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. The beautiful Place des Vosges, the oldest public square in Paris and the place where Victor Hugo lived from 1832 to 1848, is very close to this accommodation. It is still possible to visit his apartment and the room where he wrote his novels. This neighborhood offers many facilities, services and an organic market, and overflows with art galleries, designer shops, and gourmet food shops. The Place de la Bastille, the Picasso Museum and the Place de la Republique are only a short walk from the accommodation. Premises: This 19m² (approx. 205 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the fourth floor of an 18th-century walk-up building. The entrance gate with a coded security system opens into a corridor that leads to the staircase. The entrance door opens into the living room and the open kitchen. The separate bathroom is accessible via the kitchen. The 15m² (approx. 161 sq. ft.) living room with exposed beams has a window with southeastern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a cabinet, and a chest of drawers topped by a flatscreen television, a DVD-player and a stereo. There is also a dining table with chairs. The open kitchen is equipped with two electric plates, a combination microwave/oven, a small refrigerator, a coffee-maker, and some cooking utensils. The separate, windowed bathroom has a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet. There are also a few storage closets. Heat and hot water are both electric. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Fille du Calvaire (line 8) and Republique.
