This furnished studio apartment is located on Rue Saint Gilles between Rue de Turenne and Rue de Bearn.
Oldest square of Paris, the Royal Place des Vosges' was originally named the Place Royale, which construction between 1605 and 1612 was decided by Henry IV, the king. At the floor level, a number of harmonious arcades surround the square, all made in red brick and stone facings. The center south and north gateways were respectively the kings and queens pavilions. Many historical personalities lived here, such as the world famous novelist, Victor Hugo, at number 6 - now a museum - Maison de Victor Hugo.
Many museums, art galleries, selected restaurants, and pleasant cafes are easily found in this area. In a 10 minutes walking distance, is the Bastille Place, symbol of the French Republic, and in a short distance by metro, all other important points of interest.
Premises:
This 26m˛ (approx 280 sq ft) studio apartment is located on the first floor of an XVIIIth century walk up building.
The entrance gate protected by a coded security system opens into a hall with a gate protected by an intercom. This gate leads to a courtyard. Then, a door leads to the apartment's entrance.
The entrance door opens into a corridor, which leads to the main room and the open kitchen. The bathroom is accessible by the main room.
The 19m˛ (approx sq ft) living room has a window with western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, a desk and a chair, a dining table and four chairs, a coffee table, a console surmounted by a TV and a DVD player, some bookshelves and a built in closet.
The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic plates, a combo grill/microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The bathroom has a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro stations are Chemin Vert (line 8) and Bastille (lines 1.5.8).
