This furnished studio apartment is located on Rue de Picardie between Rue Du Forez and Rue de Franche-Comté.
The historic Bastille Place and the Republic Place are within an equal short distance of this little street, and both offer a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues like the new Opera house, which was inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution, and is considered to be one of the best in the world. This accommodation is also close to the royal Place des Vosges, the oldest and most beautiful square in Paris that once housed many historic personalities. It was built by Henri IV, and its perfect symmetry and vertical height are fine examples of classical French architecture. This area is also famous for its museums, arts galleries and antique shops.
Premises:
This 25m² (approx 269 sq ft) studio apartment is located on the third floor of an 18th century walk up building.
The entrance gate protected by a coded security system opens into a corridor, which leads to a courtyard. Then a gate opens into the staircase.
The entrance door opens into the main room, which is divided in two parts, the dining area and the living room area with open kitchen. The bathroom is accessible by the dining room area.
The 14m² (approx 165 sq ft) living room area has a window with southeastern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, a closet, a desk and a chair, a console surmounted by a flat screen TV and a DVD player.
The 6m² (approx 69 sq ft) dining area has a window with northwestern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a dining table and four chairs and a closet.
The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic plates topped by an exhaust fan, a combo grill/microwave, a small refrigerator, a dishwasher, a kettle and a coffee maker. There is also a washing machine.
The bathroom has a window, a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin, a toilet and a heated towel rack.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro stations are Filles du Calvaire (line 8) and République (Lines 3.5.8.9.11).
