Neighborhood: This Latin Quarter area has cobbled streets dating back to the 13th century, and is home to some of the most famous universities and high schools in Paris (Jussieu, La Sorbonne, Lycee Louis le Grand, and Lycee Henri IV). The neighborhood is dotted with parks like the Jardin des Plantes, where the National Museum of Natural History is located, and the vast, beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg with its magnificent alleys and pool. The Pantheon, built as an abbey in 1750 and later converted into a secular mausoleum for the great historical figures of France, is not far from this accommodation. There are all sorts of small food shops and supermarkets in the neighborhood. The pedestrian rue Mouffetard, with its open-air food market, is only a few steps away from this Paris accommodation. Premises: This 33m² (approx. 355 sq. ft.) apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a 18th century walk-up building which has a coded security system and a concierge. The entrance door opens onto the kitchen and the dining area, which connects the bathroom and bedroom. The 18m² (approx. 195 sq. ft.) bedroom has two windows with weastern exposure and blinds overlooking the entrance's courtyard. It is furnished with a bed (120 cm wide) with a bedside table, a double size sofa bed, a desk with a chair, a cupboard and a combo TV - DVD player. The open kitchen is equipped with four vitroceramic plates topped by an exhaust fan, an oven, a refrigerator, a coffee-maker, a kettle, a toaster and a washing machine. There is also a dining table with 3 chairs and a bench. The bathroom has a small bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a an electric towel rack. Heat and hot water are both electric and individual. For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro station is Censier Daubenton (line 7).
