Spacious one / two bedroom loft apartment in Beaubourg area

Neighborhood: This furnished designer loft faces the Pompidou Center, also known as Beaubourg, an arts complex devoted to modern and contemporary art and design; it is a particularly colorful structure in steel and glass with exposed pipes. Around this area of Paris, there are also a lot of small streets such as Rue Montorgueil with its restaurants, cafés, and specialty foods. It is also very close to the Louvre and is just steps from the liveliest part of the Marais. The Châtelet-Les Halles underground train station, connected to the Forum Les Halles, is a major transportation hub with five metro lines and three RER lines (suburban train). Premises: Outstanding in architectural design, this 90m² (approx. 965 sq. ft.) loft-style apartment is located on the top floor (fifth French floor) of an 18th century walk-up building with a security code, an intercom and a large genuine staircase with iron hand rails. Tastefully decorated with Italian designer furniture and paintings, the apartment has white walls, wood floors, and ceiling spotlights. The main apartment door opens to the spacious living room, which has a large column where the American refrigerator and freezer are embedded. Recessed on the slightly inclined walls are three double-glazed windows where the light comes in, two of them facing the pedestrian place and the Centre George Pompidou with a western exposure. Here the furniture consists of a sofa and two chairs facing a rectangular glass coffee table. There is an area rug, an antique buffet, a flat screen TV with a combo VCR/DVD player and a stereo. There is also a designer worktop used as an office space connected to a DSL Internet connection (a wireless connection is also available). Facing the modern open kitchen is a dining table with six chairs. Very well equipped, the kitchen has a large worktop with a round stainless steel sink, an embedded white stove with five vitro ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a toaster, a coffee maker, a kettle, cupboards and drawers containing utensils. At the bottom of the living room, ten steps lead to a mezzanine surrounded by white metal rails containing a double mattress. Under it is a small white tiled bathroom with a shower cabin and the washing machine and dryer. There is also a roomy closet. The 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) pleasant bedroom contains a double-size bed, bookshelves, a TV on a console, and, on a raised level (three steps), a bathtub with a Jacuzzi and jets of water set on a wooden platform. There are three double-glazed windows overlooking a courtyard. The bathroom is separate and located next to the entrance door. The apartment is also equipped with a mobile air conditioner, a vacuum, an iron and an ironing board. Heat and hot water are electric. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Hotel de Ville (lines 1 and 11) and Chatelet-Les Halles (lines 1,4,7,11,14 - RER A,B,D).
