One Bedroom Apartment in Marais

Very centrally located, most of the streets in this area are pedestrian and have been renovated. The area has an odd assortment of residences, services and shops and is a few steps away from the renowned Rue Montorgueil with its cafes and array of restaurants. Most of the main monuments and points of interest are a short distance away by Metro. Completely renewed in 1991 this arrondissement,wich had the reputation of a "red light" quartier since middle age,is now a fashioned pedestrian aera. Only very few "red light shops" are left in this part of the rue Saint Denis and it has now a completely normal parisian busy and entertaining life. This furnished apartment is in a small, quiet, blind alley situated between Rue Greneta and Rue Saint Sauveur in Paris. This charming 32m2 (approx. 340 sq. ft.) apartment has been decorated by the owner, a professional, with her own designer fabric, white walls, red wall-to-wall carpeting, and genuine beams. It is located on the fourth French floor of a small, well-maintained 16th century walk-up building with an intercom. It is south and north exposed and accommodates two people. The appealing, bright 16m2 (approx. 170 sq. ft.) living room contains a fixed corner sofa with red cushions and an antique armchair facing an antique oval coffee table. It also has a little wooden table with a glass top and chair, an armchair, a wooden dresser, lamps, and three large windows with curtains that overlook the blind alley. Separated from the living room by a curtain, the 12m2 (approx. 125 sq. ft.) bedroom has two superimposed double mattresses on the floor, a rectangular bedside table and lamp, an antique armchair, a closet, a small desk, a large gilded frame mirror and a window with curtains. The walls in the kitchen are partly white and partly brown tiled and the room has a white tiled floor. There are two vitro ceramic burners, a white ceramic sink, a functional wooden worktop, some cupboards, a microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer and a traditional oven. Wall to wall shelves contain kitchen utensils and flatware. A window with curtains brings in light and ventilation. Blue, green and white tiled, the bathroom has a small bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet.
