This furnished studio apartment is close to the Eiffel Tower between Rue de Grenelle and Rue du Champ de Mars. Everything in the area of Invalides is on a monumental scale. Starting from the sprawling 18th century buildings of the Ecole Militaire, the Parc du Champs de Mars stretches down to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. The avenues around the Tower are lined with luxurious buildings, some in the Art Nouveaux style, and numerous embassies. The Eiffel Tower, originally built to impress visitors to the Universal Exhibition of 1889, was meant to be temporary and now is the symbol of Paris. There are all sorts of shops near this accommodation, including the colorful and exclusive street market on Rue Cler.
Premises:
This 25m˛ (approx. 265 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the ground floor of a 19th century walk-up building.
The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a hall leading to a courtyard. In this courtyard, a door opens into a small staircase, which leads to the apartment.
The apartment entrance opens into a hall linking the bathroom, the living room, the kitchen and a small storage space.
The 17m˛ (approx. 180 sq. ft.) living room has a double-glazed window with western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a small dining table with chairs, a large antique-style closet, a console with a combo TV/VCR, and a stereo. There is also a decorative fireplace.
The separate kitchen has a double-glazed window with western exposure overlooking a courtyard and is equipped with two electric plates, a refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker and a combo washer/dryer.
The separate bathroom has a bathtub with a manual shower protected by a glass screen, a washbasin and a toilette.
A high-speed Internet connection is also available.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
The nearest metro station is La Tour Maubourg (line 8).
