The City of the Popes is one of the most interesting to visit in France. The Palais des Papes, former residence of the Popes, built in the 13th century, is found within a half a mile radius from your building. Within the same distance, you can find the Cathedral of Avignon, the University of Avignon and a bit further the Pont d'Avignon, or Pont Saint-Benezet, a bridge every single French child knows since it was made famous by the nursery rhyme "Dansons sur le Pont d'Avignon!" You even have a local chapel, the Chapelle des Pénitents Gris, found just across your cobblestoned Teinturiers Street and the closest theater is in your very block!
