This fully furnished two bedroom duplex apartment can be found on the southern bank of the Thames River of London, in the neighborhood of Bermondsey located on Bermondsey Street off Leathermarket Street.
This vacation rental features an open living room, as well as a reception room. The living room features a wall of windows, opening to the rooftop terrace. The kitchen is open to this living and dining area. On the same floor, there is a double bedroom, while upstairs is the second bedroom and bathroom. This is a charming property with some historic features including the fireplace and the stairways. The kitchen itself is somewhat dated and in the words of the owner: "a little past its prime but still attractive and very functional". Quirky and eclectic, this apartment has its own charm. Perhaps not ideally suited for those who prefer modern spaces this historic building is a great home-from-home for those looking for originality and individuality at a very reasonable rate.
Situated on Bermondsey Street, in the neighborhood sharing the same name, this two bedroom vacation rental apartment is settled in a residential area of London. The greater Southwark - Bermondsey has several parks, such as Leathermarket Gardens merely 50m away or Potters Fields Park (1/4 of a mile) lying next to the Thames River. You will also be close to the historic Tower Bridge and the Thames River's south bank (1/3 of a mile), where plenty of stores and galleries can be visited by following the curves of the river. The independent cinema Shortwave Films is within reach for some entertainment and the Fashion and the Textile Museum can be found just a little over 300 feet from this accommodation, where you can learn more about the unique London style. You are also conveniently located close to Borough Market and both London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
The closest subway station is a little over 1/2 a mile away. The underground stations are Borough (Northern Line) and London Bridge (Northern and Jubilee line).

The apartment is located in a beautiful part of London: safe, full of little restaurants, there are stores and supermarkets, parks and tennis courts very close to the accommodation. |

Vacation rental is very well located, full of charm and typically English. Very nice host. |

Thank you Nathalie. The area is vibrant and cosmopolitan so can be lively at night. The windows are original, so not acoustically sealed. I've not noticed the dust so much but might be used to it! Its a city thing! |

I'm glad you had a great time Véronique, sorry if the cleaning was not up to standard, my cleaner was away and I was relying on my son! Back to normal now. |

Excellent welcome. Very well located vacation rental, quiet and charming street a 10 min walk from London Bridge hustle and bustle. Old accommodation, it's like being invited at a friend's. |

I'd say I'm glad they felt so much at home. The kitchen is a little past its prime but still attractive and very functional. Just like the owner! |

The apartment is really peculiar and beautiful as well: a typical Victorian house built on 3 floors with some really interesting pieces like the 3 original chimneys, some furnitures of late sixties, the carpets...the wooden floor in the living room of the start of the century. |

Thank you Mariachiara. Almost perfect is good! We are going to be decorating and improving the apartment in the run up to Christmas, so it will be perfect for guests who enjoy a home from home at the heart of London! |

I found a dirty apartment, in a big mess, with a horrible, foul smell in the rooms, badly furnished, without minimal security measures. Also, on the second day, I saw a mouse and I requested to change apartments, as provided for in the contract. |
Answer by: Accommodation Owner Sep 06 2012 |
We have had many friends and guests stay here and they have all loved the historic, homely atmosphere of 112a. It was obviously not this family's 'cup of tea' and it was very unfortunate that we were invaded by a mouse during their stay. |

Thank you Marco for your precious feedback. It is much appreciated. Given your comments, it was essential for us to communicate with the owner and re-visit his apartment. When our London team member inspected it, he found it to be a safe and clean accommodation. |
