In Forest Hills, New York this studio apartment is located on Austin Street & 75th Avenue in a very nice low rise building with elevator and laundry facilities in the basement. The studio is on the ground floor facing the back of the building with southern exposure.
This very clean and bright 450 sq ft (42 sqm) studio apartment with contemporary style furniture sleeps one in a twin bed and / or two in a queen size sofa bed.
When you enter the NYC furnished apartment, there is a hallway with mirrored closets to your right. Then you come into the main room with the brand new open kitchen to your left and the living room in front. The living room is spacious and has a brand new queen size sofa bed, an armchair, a coffee table, a comfortable single bed, a desk, a dining table and chair. There is no TV. There is an oversized Frigidaire window air-conditioning unit. There are two large sound proof windows overlooking the back of the building and the side of the building adjacent to the Long Island Railroad.
The new IKEA open kitchen has granite counter tops and backsplash . The room includes a convection oven that can be used as a toaster and a microwave, a coffee maker, a stainless steel LG double stove with a large GE stainless steel fridge. The apartment also comes with Lenox china and 2 food processors that make this an ideal kitchen for those who like to cook and entertain friends. The bathroom has a shower/tub that is perfect for taking a bath after a hard day’s work. A toilet and a window provide ample ventilation.
Forest Hills is a family friendly neighborhood with many great schools, excellent ethnic restaurants and shops. Down the road is a Bareburger for alternative and organic burgers and other American cuisine (0.3mi/450m) and not far is the Kew Garden Cinema for foreign and independent films (1.2 mi / 2.0 km).
Go to Natural Market (0.1 mile / 220 m) for great bagels one block away for your morning coffee. In this neighborhood you will find tennis courts, and a beautiful forest. Forest Hills is just a few subway stops away from Manhattan, and is just a small section of the greater New York City. It was once home to the U.S. Open tennis tournament, but you can still get some tennis practice by heading to the West Side Tennis Club. While you’re there, check out the Forest Hills Stadium which is home to diverse musical acts. Nearby, you’ll find United Artists Midway Stadium 9 Movie Theater 5 minutes away and a scenic 10 minute walk gets you to the best kept secret of Kew Gardens, the Kew Garden Cinemas which showcases all the latest art, foreign and independent films (0.9mi/1.4km).
If you want to get into Manhattan head on over to the local subway stop at 75 Avenue / Queens Boulevard, serving the F line (0.1mi/220m). It is one stop away from the 71st Avenue Continental train where you can connect to the E, R and M trains to Manhattan (in 20 minutes). A five minute walk from the apartment gets you access to Manhattan with the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) in 15 minutes to Penn Station (0.3mi/4540m).
