Description
1 Bedroom Apartment Rental in Harlem (NY-16694)
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom - Sleeps 2

Get to know Central Harlem during your time in New York with this fully furnished one bedroom apartment at Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd & West 117th Street! The apartment can be found on the second of three floors (the first floor to non-Americans) in a modern building with a security system.

Tastefully decorated in earth tones with splashes of red, the living room has all the comforts of home: air conditioning, a sofa, a TV, and a dining table. There, you can enjoy meals from the separate kitchen, complete with cooking essentials like an oven, coffeemaker and toaster. The bedroom faces the courtyard and offers a queen bed for sleeping space, flanked by storage units. There is also a closet for your convenience.

A culturally rich and demographically dynamic neighborhood, Harlem is both historic and modern, with something to offer everyone!

  • Between the fields and hills of Central Park (.4mi/700mi) and the amenities in Marcus Garvey Park (.3mi/550m), there is plenty of green space around to escape from the city in.
  • While Harlem might be famous for soul food like that of Sylvia’s Restaurant (.5mi/900m), there are lots of other dining options around, such as Lido (.3mi/450m), an Italian eatery.
  • Any Harlem resident should pay a visit to the Studio Museum (.5mi/850m), a collection of works by members of the African diaspora. The Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum, a branch of the Smithsonian, is another great cultural site nearby (.5mi/750m).

Experience the rest of Manhattan and other New York City boroughs by taking the subway from 116 Street / 7th Avenue (2/3 trains, .1mi/220m).

Comfortable apartment, wifi needs to be improved as well as tv cable, number of tv channels is limited. Perfect location, safe neighborhood, Times Square is 4 stops away with express subway line. Even though the landlady lives on the ground floor, we had few contacts, except when she checked that we sorted our garbage for recycling and called to order us if necessary. No tips on things to do, convenience stores, transportation...

Corinne, It was so nice having you and Jean Pierre as guests! Everything was great until the last week when you wanted your deposit back before I could thoroughly check for damages in the apt. So I am very surprised by some of your ratings and comments.

Unfortunately, wi-fi issues are due to the company providing the service ... and there is no cable in the apt. When you broke off the top half of the bent antenna, you actually caused the problem of having limited channels available, and this concern was never brought to my attention. I noticed the missing part of the antenna after you checked out. All tenants/guests receive calls or texts messages from me when trash and/or recycling is not disposed of properly; and this is because I receive fines/summons from the Dept. of Sanitation ranging from $25-$100 due to improper trash disposal. This apt contains, books, brochures and flyers listing things to do in NYC. These items were stored in the desk drawer and on the bottom shelf of the TV stand, which you were made aware of upon arrival. Also, I did invite you both to a few fun things/places during your three month stay.
