Welcome to Brooklyn in this fully furnished three bedroom apartment rental in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Monroe Street and Lewis Avenue. This duplex apartment is situated on the ground and first floor of a walk-up townhouse building.
The interior of the listing has a clean and chic design with hardwood floors and is furnished with a wraparound sofa, dining table with seating for four, mounted flat screen Cable TV, and a rustic decorative fireplace. The kitchen has tile flooring and is equipped with an oven with stovetops, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, and dishwasher. All three bedrooms have hardwood floors with bedding supplied. Bedroom 1 is fitted with its own couch and decorative fireplace, and a Queen-sized bed, while Bedroom 2 has a Queen-sized bed, and Bedroom 3 has a full-sized bed. The listing is equipped with two bathrooms.
Bedford-Stuyvesant is a large Brooklyn neighborhood with decades of history and a strong community feel. The neighborhood is a mash-up of what were once two separate neighborhoods: Bedford and Stuyvesant Heights, and is now a touchstone of hip-hop culture, with such notorious and infamous names hailing from its streets as Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., and other legendary names. Indulge in some Mexican food at Oaxaca Tacos (0.3 mi/450 m), a cheery, no-frills taqueria dishing out tacos, salsas, enchiladas and other Mexican eats. The Brooklynite Gallery (0.7 mi/1.2 km) is a non-traditional exhibit space focusing on pop art prints and paintings with an urban edge. Groceries are directly across the street at the Associated Supermarkets (0.2 mi/300 m).
The nearest subway at Kosciuszko Street / Broadway (0.8 mi/1.3 km) serves the J line.

Not a very clean place when we arrived, we had to do a big cleaning, the bathtub was blocked with hair and there were stains on the sofa. On the other hand, the beds were good as were clean sheets and towels. Lots of noises in the rooms overlooking the street as well as in the whole apartment when neighbors go down the stairs. The building and the front doors are not in a very good condition. Disappointed by the location and the price-quality ratio. |
