In the spring, residents of Park Slope, Brooklyn gather on 5th avenue to celebrate the Fabulous Fifth Avenue Fair. The local cheer of one of the best neighborhoods in America comes to life, a sentiment which extends to this 2-bedrooms, 1-bathroom apartment share. This lodging sits near 22nd Street and 6th Avenue, just west of Prospect Park. It has a shared garden, a shared laundry, and the building has a security system, however there is no elevator in the building.
The fully furnished bedroom has a king bed. For further relaxation, there is a tub in the bathroom, as well as a shower. There are a few farmers markets in the area, and you can get cooking in the separate kitchen. For ingredient storage, there is a fridge and a freezer. When it comes time to toss a meal together, there is an oven.
You can walk to several nearby farmers markets—the farthest is located 2.3 miles (around 3.7 kilometers) away. The path to get there runs a half-mile (around 800 meters) along the border of the Greenwood Cemetery and then passes under the shade at the edge of Prospect Park for another half mile. If you only want the park, it is a 1.3-mile (around 2-kilometer) walk. You can enjoy the Upper Bay from Bush Terminal Piers Park and stop by Industry City on the way back without a detour.
If you want to catch a subway, head over to 4th Avenue. At the 36th Street station, you can catch the D, N and R trains. You can catch the R trains at the 25th Street station—located 11 blocks closer to the apartment—or the Prospect Avenue station. If you need the F or G trains, you can head to the 9th Street Station. The 36th Street and 9th Street stations are located the farthest from this room for rent—0.9 miles (around 1.4 kilometers).
