These rooms for rent are located in Washington Heights near Wadsworth Avenue and West 186th Street. The three bedroom apartment share is situated on the 4th floor of a seven-story prewar building. For your convenience, the elevator building is equipped with laundry facilities and a buzzer/intercom system, as well as video camera and a security guard at night.
The first available room is Bedroom 1, with a queen size bed as well as a matching vanity with a mirror and a desk. There is also a mini fridge inside the bedroom for you to store beverages and snacks! The patterned tile flooring sets off the white furnishing well and add interest to the room. The two large windows allow for natural sunlight to brighten the entire room and there is also a closet for storage space.
The other bedroom for rent (Bedroom 2), has a matching flooring pattern, but is painted with mauve and blue accents to add interest. There is a double size bed, but also a small sofa for relaxing. A television is set top the wooden dresser and there is a closet to hang clothes.
The layout of the apartment is designed so that the rooms for rent are located near the shared bathroom and are slightly separated from the owner's bedroom and private living room, which allows for more privacy. The small foyer with sofa and the kitchen area are also great aspects of the apartment which you would be sharing with other roommates, nicely furnished with coordinated décor.
This apartment share is situated in Washington Heights, in Uptown Manhattan, just 4 subway stops away from Columbia University. The area has lots of shopping, including bargain stores, supermarkets and cafes lining the nearby streets of Broadway and St Nicholas Avenue. On a relaxing day, don’t hesitate and take a trip to one of the near by parks such as Gorman Park (3 blocks north). There are many eatery options in this area such as the fine dining at bar, lounge and restaurant Altus (2 blocks away), or even a place to grab a bite of pizza such as Charlie’s Pizza that is also only two blocks away. If you prefer to cook, don’t worry because Dan’s Supermarket is only a short two block walk from this room for rent! If you like to travel within and around New York the closest subway is the 1 train at 181st Street and the A train at 181st Street. The A train is very convenient because it offers express service to midtown Manhattan!

Overall the room is very nice and big, plus it comes with cable, Wi-Fi and a mini-fridge. The inside of the apartment is very quiet. There are plenty of stores and restaurants available nearby and the 1 train is within walking distance. The building has two elevators and laundry on the first floor, which is very convenient.

My experience here has been way over my best expectations. The owners are great people, welcoming and eager to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The room, reasonably large by NYC standards, is cosy, really clean .
