If you don't like sharing with your roommates much, this is the place for you, since it's like a long-stay hostel. It's quite calm everyday, but appliances are not that good, since the basic ones are not in good condition and there is little dishware, which could be improved. |

The room was great, everything about it, location, presentation, great. The only downside about it is the walls are thin... very thin. You can hear the neighbors and literally hear snoring in the next door. but other than that great. |

The room is spacious, warm and very comfortable, especially during these winter months. The kitchen area is spread out and easily accessible. The bathroom is clean and neat, hot water is steaming from strong water pressure too. |

As for my experience I was satisfied with my stay although there was a big difference on the actual appearance of the room as compared to what is advertised. As for roommates everyone is friendly and easy to get along with. The owner is very detailed on do's and don't in his apartment and open for suggestions and comments. He visits the apartment frequently and check regularly things for repair and any issues. |

'It's Harlem! Be really careful!' is all what I heard before I left for New York City. I always wanted to live in Manhattan and this was one of the best choices I had for my budget. Eventually, however, this ended up as one of the best decisions of my life. The hospitality and camaraderie was above par my expectations. Made some lively memories, wonderful friends and basically got more than I ever imagined. I will come back in a heartbeat if given a choice. |

Awesome apartment, owner is there if needed but sometimes too much and quite intrusive in your everyday life. Otherwise, ideal location, not too far but not too close to downtown Manhattan. |

My room was the smaller room on the 2nd floor but it was more than enough for me. The house is in a great location in Harlem! I mean literally everything you could need in four blocks or less. Dry cleaners, grocery store, train station, laundrymat! So convenient! |

The owner of the appartment was constantly present. It was ennoying, because he limited your living space. He entered your rooms during the day. In my case he re-arranged the setup of my room, while I was living there. To me that's a disrepectful attitude towards somebodies privacy. |

Thank you for your review Kevin. I am around the apartment almost everyday to clean up the sink and throw out the garbage. Regarding entering the guest's room, I entered only with permission and it was to show the room to a potential guest. |

Beautiful house in the heart of harlem, nice and warm atmosphere. downside: bed in a very bad state difficult to have a good sleep, old and badly equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom for 6.. and the owner always home! |

Further to this review, the owner checked with the current tenant who commented that they did not have issues with the mattress. The frame is a traditional metal bed frame. The owner has added dishware to the kitchen. |

The apartment in Harlem was wonderful. The owner was always quick to assist within anything that was needed. If returning to New York, I would stay there again. |
