Pat is the most wonderful, patient, and hospitable person that you will ever meet. She is incredibly helpful and please don't hesitate in asking her any questions. She knows Harlem very well. Her home is beautifully furnished and looked after by an individual who is the fifth generation to be living at Graham Court. You feel Pat?s spirit in this house. The location is convenient to anywhere. The price range is very reasonable, considering the challenges of finding a room in Manhattan. Central Harlem is a great neighborhood to live in for you get a greater sense of its liveliness, past and present. If I ever were to move back to Manhattan, I would strongly consider Pat?s home to live in again! Thank you Pat for giving me the best of introductions to Harlem.

I never felt at home in this apartment. I think that the owner is too intrusive and only interested in your money. Things have to be done her way which makes it difficult to feel comfortable in the apartment. For instance, there is a washing machine in the apartment but she never let me use it which I don't find very nice considering the fact that the rent is expensive.
Nevertheless, the apartment is located in a safe area close to the subway and the size of the bedroom is above average for New York.

I'm sorry you didn't feel at home here, Manon. I think what you are refering to is the guest fee I charged you, it was in our contract and I even agreed to lower it for you, so I am surprised by your comments. With regards to the washing machine, I have one not on the premise which unfortunately is not available to guests. However, there is a place very close by where you can do laundry. Thank you for your feedback.

Pat was a very nice, kind, lovely, helpful, and thoughtful person. She treated me as a member of family and took care of me all the time. I really appreciate her.
The house was very beautiful as the photos, all furnished! And I didn't know that I have my own kitchen and my own bathroom. It was very convenient!!.
The location was very closed to subway, super market and laundry. Very convenient!!
It was a pity that this house is too popular to stay for long time. Otherwise I really wanted to stay longer.
Thanks, Patt!!

The owner is a wonderful woman. Actually, I had stayed the apartment for 6 months, and I could spend cozy & comfortable with the room because the owner really helpes me all the time. The room and kichen are exactly same as pictures. Everything is neat, clean & organized well. Also, There are a separate room for kitchen & shower room that only I can use ,so there are everything what I wanna it. Perfect!!

The binding is located in West Harlem which is also wonderful ,and it takes a few minutes to subway station. It's quite near from apartment. The neighborhood is quiet & safe. I've never felt dangerous. Anyway, she is so lovely and kind to me. I could spend great time in New York with her. Thank you so much!!

Everything about my apartment in Harlem was absolutely spectacular! Wonderfully central location, minutes away from the subway and with walking distance to iconic restaurants, bars and the Apollo theatre.

The apartment is clean, quiet and spacious. Located is in a stunning building and beautifully furnished. The owner is lovely and a fountain of information about the neighborhood.

Pat was very helpful. She's a very pleasant woman. The neighborhood is quiet, and there's everything near the apartment. We felt very comfortable.

Drawbacks: it's difficult to cook in the kitchen because there's only a small electric ring that is plugged and there's no extractor hood. Also, we missed having an area out of the bedroom where we could relax.

Overall, our evaluation is positive.

Thank you for your feedback Francisco! My apartment page is not advertised as providing a proper living room, as for the kitchen it is a kitchenette, however I will buy an exhaust fan to extract the possible smells.

It is a pity that you never said anything to me about those points, I would have been happy to address them.

The room was as in the pictures illustrated just lovely. I stayed here half a year and it always felt like home. I really enjoyed the stay there. Also because of the the landlady. She was really nice and always helped me out. We became really good friends.

If anybody of you is interested but frightened because of Harlem: It is totally fine. I am a girl and had no problems at all in half a year. It is about 10 minutes walk to Columbia University and everything is just a few minutes walk from the apartment: Restaurants, metro etc.!

I really loved Harlem and it has a great atmosphere. And the apartment is in one of the nicest buildings in Harlem! Enjoy your stay!

We were delighted to live in, it is very friendly roommate share and you very quickly feel home. Pat greeted us warmly, was ready to help and give us advice at all times which we are very happy about. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and pleasant.

The building is well located in a quiet neighborhood close to the subway lines that take you to the city center in a short time. We could not find better and highly recommend this apartment share.

Thanks Pat for these 2 months, we will happily come back and live here again.

It was a pleasure having the two young ladies with me they both said they will return. The parents gave me a visit for a few hours and were very pleased with their childrens' home in Harlem.

When I first came to this apartment I was only 20 years old. My only idea of staying in this apartment was for 6 months. To get my shoes in place and to settle down in New York.

When I first came to visit the apartment the owner was so kind and caring. She welcomed me in her home with a sense of care and wisdom.

Immediately, when I moved in I felt like I was in this warm golden bubble. It's probably the first time that I have ever felt this way in Harlem, New York. Which is the always moving and grooving city in United States.

I've stayed in her home / my home for 3 years. I could of never had a better experience. Nor had any problems with my experience in Harlem.

When you awake in this apartment you feel as if you're almost in heaven. The light in the room warms you up and the quite sounds of New York come to you at rest.

The owner has now become my family, knowing my mother and becoming a close confidant. It's also like a curse to leave this apartment. I feel as if I will never find a home that is going to be similar to this place.

I fell in love with this apartment and so would you. Trust me when I say it's a oasis in Harlem.
