This bedroom for rent is located in Jackson Heights, a neighborhood in Queens, New York. The room is in a shared -bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor (2nd for Europeans) of a low-rise building with buzzer/intercom. The building has great common amenities, such as an elevator, on-site laundry facilities, and an enclosed courtyard garden, perfect for relaxing outdoors or having a picnic on the patio furniture. The kitchen, shared with the roommate, includes amenities such as a microwave oven, a regular oven and a dishwasher. Please note that the living room is not accessible, and that you will be sharing the kitchen and bathroom.
This apartment is situated on 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, the neighborhood where the inventor of Scrabble, Alfred Mosher Butts lived. And although Queens is overall probably the most residential borough of New York City, you will find nearby shops and restaurants within just a few blocks. Two grocery stores just meters away from the apartment doorstep, are located on the same street. If you are not quite hungry yet, and ready for a mile-long walk, the trendy Uncle Peter's Restaurant (1mi/1.6km) is worth the trip, after which you will certainly enjoy the fine Italian, French or Spanish fusion cuisine. There are also many small parks around the apartment, which makes it easy to just walk around and enjoy the greenery.
This apartment is also conveniently located about 1 block from subway, serving the 7/E/F/M and R lines, which will connect you to Manhattan in only 3 stops.

The street was very loud. |

My street is extremely convenient, one short block from 5 subway lines. Indeed, it is sometimes very busy/noisy - not all the time, by any means -- and if it happens, I close the window. We have good air conditioning so it won't get stuffy! |

- The bedroom is huge, with a king-size bed, black-out curtains, A/C/ceiling fan/wall heater, lots of storage space, a dresser, desk and chair - all as shown in the picture. |

Rafael, thanks for your positive review, I'm pleased you had a good time in NYC and my apartment. and loved the neighborhood The noise during the day is because this is a busy road and sometimes traffic gets congested. Not all the time, since as you note, you slept well here! It was a pleasure having you in my home. Thanks again, Vivien |

Great place to stay. I recommend this apartment. The landlady is very nice. I enjoyed stay especially for the location and the proximity to public transportation. I would rent it again in a heartbeat. |
