New York Room For Rent - 3 Bedroom apartment for a roommate in Bedford Stuyvesant (NY-16622)

I had a great time! I really love that neighborhood and the avenue the apartment is on in particular, so for me the location is pretty good. In my opinion, the highlights of the place were the people and the location, but the commute is a bit long.

Commute:
Still far-ish from Manhattan: 15 min walk to subway and 30 min ride **on express train** to get to Washington Square Park. For me the nice neighborhood compensated for that. I felt pretty safe walking around late at night but expect to see beggars at the subway station.

People:
Greg is laid back. He gives you your space and I appreciated that. He also remains accessible if you have any issues. I loved the people in the building too. I was sharing the room with two awesome guys who were a lot of fun.

Building
The space was honestly pretty decent. I was on the third floor (top floor) of building. The locks were good, mail gets delivered to the door and the frequently emptied garbage bins are right outside the front door of the building. Everything seemed in good condition and there is a park a 15 min walk away from the place. There are a couple laundromats close-by but the closest is Marmy Laundromat - just down the street. I also found out that there is a Key Foods right by the laundromat way too late into my stay :o

Quiet/Loud & Cleanliness
The apartment I stayed in was for three people, and I shared a bathroom with one person, while the other had his own bathroom. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet and I never really heard much noise from people on other floors. Occasionally the room was loud because of another tenant's video games (our rooms were side by side) and not so good sound insulation. I found the place reasonably clean.

Condition, Comfort, Amenities
The amenities worked fine. I used my own linens and in the room I had a small closet to store clothing and shoes. There is a stove top, an oven, and a microwave that all worked properly. There is also a lot of storage space in the kitchen. The door of the apartment opens to a kitchen and living room area that form one room. Style wise the choices seemed appropriate as well with some mirrors, a futon and a table with a bench in the living room area.

Building was fine, room was small but still bigger than dorm space would be. Had occasional noise issues with downstairs tenants. Owner was kind but sometimes difficult to reach. Not a lot of complaints. Enjoyed the kitchen. A/C unit was a big plus in September and early October. Friendly neighbors and an alright neighborhood overall, pretty quiet when compared to other areas nearby.

The apartment is good, could use some renovation especially for bathroom. The roommates I had made a part of my stay not very comfortable.

My room was good. But a desk is missing to work.
The apartment is perfect for three and the neighborhood is very quiet at night, and safe.
Gregory and his family are so wonderful persons. The second month I paid my rent a week late and they completely understood. They are always asking if everything it's okey.

the neighborhood is good,calm and everyone are friendly.my bedroom with bathroom was spacious for one people or 2 is enough..The level of furnitures was light for 3 peoples when I arrived in the kitchen and even for cleaning home.without that it is cool to leave in bedstuy.
