If you’re looking for a comfortable home in Brooklyn with character and charm, this furnished accommodation on President Street & Third Avenue may be just what you need. Located in the Park Slope neighborhood, the apartment occupies the third floor (considered 2nd flor in Europe) of a 4-story brownstone walk-up building, with secure buzzer/intercom access at the entrance.
Inside, you’ll find a living area with a sofa and TV, a bedroom with a single bed and closet space, a large fully equipped shared kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Featuring classic black and white tilesand an exposed brick wall, the bright and open kitchen is equipped with all the appliances needed to prepare home cooked meals. These appliances include a 4-burner gas stove, regular oven and microwave.
Please note that there is an interior staircase in the kitchen leading to the upper unit. While there is very limited visibility from one unit to the other, it may slightly limit privacy.
Park Slope is a largely residential section of Brooklyn, New York, full of beautiful historic townhouses, parks and children playgrounds. However, this room is located in part of the area that also contains many bars, restaurants, shops, movie theatres and supermarkets. Here are some of the places worth visiting during your stay:
- Restaurants: If you are searching for a great Italian meal try Al dì La Tratoria half-a-mile away on 5th Avenue (800m). Discover the traditions of Southern bbq at Dinosaur Bar-b-Que only one block east. Or if Latin food is more your thing head to Palo Santo (.3 miles / 450 m) to discover some Pan-Latin dishes in a cozy atmosphere.
- Prospect Park : (.9 miles / 1.4km): enjoy the outdoors and make use of the various walking paths or sports facilities. This giant park is home to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Zoo.
- Washington park: a little bit closer (.4 miles / 650m) is this park housing a local landmark called the Old Stone House, where a museum features Brooklyn's past.
The closest subway is at the Union Street / 4 Avenue Station (2 blocks). There you will be able to catch the R train to Manhattan or further south to southwest Brooklyn.

The apartment is clean and comfortable, and the hosts are very kind. Tenants will enjoy having a private room on a nearly private floor, as the owners of the house live on the second floor of the apartment. The kitchen and bathroom amenities are excellent. The house is only two blocks away from the nearest subway station, and the neighborhood is safe and located next to the Gowanus Canal waterfront, which enjoys an active and vibrant community. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is interested in it. |

I rented this room for 9 months. It is a small room but it looks exactly like the pictures and is really comfortable. The bathroom is really nice and it's so luxurious to have your own bathroom. |

This is a great place to stay if you don't need a lot of space. The room is rather small, but has everything you need. I particularly liked the big kitchen, which compensates for the small room. The hosts are very nice and helpful. There's a small dog in the apartment, but he lives mostly on the upper floor (reserved for the landlords). |
