If you are looking for an apartment share but are worried about privacy issues, check-out this room for rent in a three bedroom duplex apartment in Brooklyn, NYC. You will be the only roommate occupying a bedroom on this apartment s first floor and will enjoy the luxury of a private bathroom! The apartment is located at President Street & Third Avenue in Park Slope neighborhood, on the last 2 floors of a 4-story (equivalent to the European 3-story) walk-up building with a buzzer/intercom at the entrance.
In the room for rent, a wall bed adds flexibility to the space! Fold it when not in use to maximize the space in your bedroom! The room is also furnished with a closet for storage, a desk that you can use when you need to get some work done, and a TV with cable when it is time to relax! A north-facing window overlooks the street and welcomes natural sunlight into the room. Air-conditioning is available during the summer months. Your private powder-blue tiled bathroom has a stall shower, vanity mirror, and additional shelving for storage.
Bedroom 2 on the same floor is used as a storage space, so you wont have any roommates on this floor for lots of privacy! You will have to share the kitchen with you second floor roommate. Featuring classic black and white tiles, an exposed brick wall, and a yellow accent wall, the bright and open kitchen is equipped with all the appliances needed to prepare home cooked meals. These appliances include a 4-burner gas stove, regular oven, microwave, and coffeemaker. In this same space there is also a dining area that includes a table with seating for four.
Park Slope is a largely residential section of Brooklyn, New York, full of beautiful historic townhouses, parks and children playgrounds. However, this room is located in part of the area that also contains many bars, restaurants, shops, movie theatres and supermarkets. Here are some of the places worth visiting during your stay:
The closest subway is at the Union Street / 4 Avenue Station (2 blocks). There you will be able to catch the R train to Manhattan or further south to southwest Brooklyn.

The apartment is clean and comfortable, and the hosts are very kind. Tenants will enjoy having a private room on a nearly private floor, as the owners of the house live on the second floor of the apartment. The kitchen and bathroom amenities are excellent. The house is only two blocks away from the nearest subway station, and the neighborhood is safe and located next to the Gowanus Canal waterfront, which enjoys an active and vibrant community. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is interested in it. |

I rented this room for 9 months. It is a small room but it looks exactly like the pictures and is really comfortable. The bathroom is really nice and it's so luxurious to have your own bathroom. |

This is a great place to stay if you don't need a lot of space. The room is rather small, but has everything you need. I particularly liked the big kitchen, which compensates for the small room. The hosts are very nice and helpful. There's a small dog in the apartment, but he lives mostly on the upper floor (reserved for the landlords). |
