Description
Studio Apartment in Le Marais (PA-3281)
Studio, 1 Bathroom - Sleeps

This studio rental invites you to discover Le Marais, one of Paris’ most well-known districts. Located on Rue Rambuteau situated between rue Beaubourg and rue du Temple, this charming abode sits on the sixth floor (considered 7th in U.S.) of a six-story 18th century building, complete with elevator and an intercom system.

Picture yourself in central Paris (4th arrondissement), surrounded by awe-inspiring historic architecture and a large community of artists. With this compact studio in Le Marais, you can live among them!

This living space is furnished with modern accessories, reflecting the youthful attitude of the district as a whole. Here, windows on both the north and south sides of the apartment allow fresh air to circulate the residence and natural sunlight to brighten up the rooms. A full-sized sofa bed with sheets is situated near one window, serving as resting quarters. Also included is a small dining table with two chairs, lamps providing additional light, and a flat-screen television for entertainment during lazy days at home. The open kitchen pops with color as bright red cabinets line the walls and tiles line the floor. Supplied here are most necessary home-cooking appliances, including a microwave oven, small refrigerator and electric hot plates. The bathroom has unique exposed stone and provides a shower and medicine cabinet with mirror atop the sink; glass cubes serve as a sort of window to allow natural light to filter in the bathroom, however please note that this can also limit privacy since the living area is on the other side.

There’s so much to see in Le Marais! Spread across the 3rd and 4th arrondissements, it is filled with old and new French culture, and conveniently situated in the heart of the city. Both the Rue Rambuteau and the Rue Beaubourg are lined with shops and small restaurants and cafes, so you really just need to step outside to find distraction! Listed below are some nearby destination options that you won't want to miss during your stay:

- Centre Pompidou : One of the world's largest modern art museums, just 100 meters (about 325 feet) from this studio!

- Musee Picasso: 5 rue de Thorigny, about 1/2 a mile or 800 meters to the east, next to the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsm.

- Place des Vosges, a pleasant and popular park to relax in, a little over 1 km to the east of the apartment (approx. .7 miles).

- Ile de la Cité, in the middle of the Seine, where you will find the Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte Chapelle and more, just 850 meters to the south (about 1/2 a mile away).

For public transportation around the city, walk to the Rambuteau metro station to catch the 11 Line, just 180m (about 0.1mi) from the apartment for rent. Additionally, you can take the 1 or 11 Lines at Hotel de Ville metro station, 550m/0.3mi from the charming apartment for rent, facilitating transit around Paris.

The place is nice & clean, and the owner is very professional. You are given fresh sheets once in two weeks, with towels changed every week.

The location is fantastic- you can get to bunch of metro lines within 5-10 minute walk and most things are in walking distance. The room is perfect for two, and has everything you need to feel at home.

A downside, if I might add, is that there doesn't seem to be much soundproof between rooms, but for a tourist who doesn't stay long at home, its no problem. Upon leaving the apartment, the owner gives you a detailed receipt of hydro and heat usage (they are checked with you upon arrival) so there's no doubt in what you are paying for.

Rachel, you and your sister stayed with us for a while - you are nice people and easy to deal with. In the Marais - the oldest Part of Paris, the structure of the buildings is out of wood and walls are not very thick therefore you can sometimes hear neighbors.

We are always trying to give the best comfort to
our clients and are open to suggestions . Unfortunately in case of noise coming from neighbors we cannot do much about it.

Once I arrived in Paris, the owner was very pleasant and helpful. She provided a welcome hamper that included mineral water, fruit, bread, chocolates etc. The apartment was small but very attractive and had everything I needed.

The one drawback was the tiny sink in the bathroom that was too small to wash in. The paying of the downpayment could be made easier by making it clear it must be paid in U.S. dollars to an account in Califorinia. Confusion around this cost me an extra 22 euros in bank charges.

Thank you Jamie.
The fees were lower for a payment on my account in California but I let my guests choose. We made the bathroom because initially, the apartment didn't have one. Unfortunately there wasn't much space for the basin, that's why it is small, but this way, we can still have a full bathroom with a large shower stall and a WC.

I can see you were surprised to get a welcome basket, be sure it is a pleasure for me. I always do everything I can to satisfy my guests.

This charming apartment, along with its location, made for a terrific home base for a month of research in Paris. It is absolutely clear that the owner takes especially good care of the place and of her renters' needs. The Internet service was rock-solid, clean towels in regular supply, a very comfortable bed, and an immaculate appearance upon arrival. Grocery shopping and laundry were very easy since everything could be done on the same block.

I would definitely rent this apartment again if available, especially since I loved my routine in and around it, in that neighborhoodl. This was my best rental experience in Paris (out of several), and one of the reasons was the experience, professionalism, efficiency, and discretion of the owner.

The apartment was very clean and it is clear that the owner takes pride in the place. It was also a pleasure to stay in because of its creature comforts: shower was very hot, bed was very comfortable and warm, the kitchen was fully stocked. It is also in a great location.

One unfortunate problem is that the wireless internet was not reliable, and this was one of the main reasons why we chose the apartment.

Lastly, in order to make a future tenant's stay more smooth, I would recommend that the owner be very clear about his/her policies. For example, preferred payment, and policy for entering the apartment when tenants are not there. I had the sense that the owner had a very clear understanding of his/her expectations, because this is his/her business, however those expectations were not always expressed clearly to the tenant.

Further to this review, we contacted the owner of this apartment who checked to ensure the wireless internet was working. In regards to preferred payment, the owner accepts bank transfers but also gives the option of cash payments for ease and lack of extra fees. The owner also agrees never to enter the apartment without prior notification. Thank you to the clients for their constructive comments.

The apartment in Paris was great. The landlord was very sweet and professional. The quality of the apartment was very good however the apartment was very small. I suppose that should be expected to be in the center of Paris. The aparment looked larger in the photos but I should have paid more attention to the square footage. I had a fabulous stay, thanks NY Habitat!

The apartment [in Paris] was absolutely perfect for me, I
couldn't have been happier with it! The location is great for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants (not to mention patisseries), and the apartment itself was immaculate, which I truly appreciate, and well-stocked.
The owner, was both helpful and very nice. She brought me some guidebooks when I first arrived so that I could get myself oriented, and later on helped me to find a workshop I was looking for.
What more can I say? I was very happy with my stay!
