This furnished studio apartment in an 18th century building is situated in the Les Halles neighborhood of the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Located on the topmost floor of a six floor building (equivalent to the American 7-story), this south-facing apartment provides incredible views of the city with its garden terrace. Thanks to its level in the apartment, one will be able to enjoy privacy without compromising environment. Inside you will find an open space that features high exposed beam ceilings, multiple remote-controlled skylights and serene white walls. Antique details can be found on the doors throughout the apartment, which adds to its classic Parisian charm. The apartment also benefits from an HVAC system as well as a digital lock and intercom security.
Relax after a long day of sightseeing and strolling the same streets Molière did in its sunny living space that features a flat-screen television and wireless Internet. If you are looking to practice your culinary skills the kitchen features many modern-day appliances any chef would need. In here you will find an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of beautiful oak cabinet space. In the same area there is a small dining table that overlooks the outdoor terrace, or if you prefer you can eat outside at a teak table with umbrella covering. The bathroom features artesian tile-covered walls, a marble sink and a traditional European-style tub-shower with a handheld showerhead. In the sleeping area you will find a full bed that is situated under a skylight and many of the exposed beams.
For your convenience the landlord has provided many guide books and maps in English about Paris as well as some of their favorite area restaurants and attractions.
Less than 3 blocks away from the studio is the famous Forum des Halles. In medieval times the Les Halles area was the first shopping and market district for the city of Paris whose traditions still continue to this day. Today you can find all your shopping needs here along the café-lined streets of Rue du Cygne and Rue Pierre Lescot, from upscale boutiques to small markets. If a larger grocery shopping is needed, a Carrefour City and a Monoprix are just a few metro stops away on the 3 and the 14. A little over a 800-meter (1/2 mile) walk southwest will bring you right to the Louvre and a walk of the same distance to the southeast will bring you to Île de la Cité where Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle can be found. Right next to Le Louvre are the beautiful Tuileries Gardens; on a warm day you can find Parisians of all ages sunning themselves around one of the many fountains or playing bocce ball in the shade. Across the gardens at Place de la Concorde you will find The Orangerie Museum, which is home to Monet’s famous Les Nymphéas (Water Lilies). To the east the Centre Georges Pompidou Museum and Public Library are about a 400 meter (1/4 mile) walk, bordering on the historic Marais neighborhood, also home to many shops and cafes.
The closest metro station is Étienne Marcel serving the 4 line and is just 2 stops away from metro stop Châtelet, a transport hub which serves the 1, 4, 7, 11, 14 and RER A, B, and D. (RER B provides convenient access to Charles DeGaulle International Airport). With this location you will have all of Paris at your fingertips!

The apartment and the owners are absolutely lovely. The only drawback is that it is on the sixth floor of a walk up. But honestly, I didn't mind this as I viewed it as part of my exercise and it made me feel less guilty about all the delicious food I ate! The only time it's a hassle is when you're taking up your luggage. I can't recommend this place enough. |

Hello Tania, I usually deal with taking the luggage up to the apartment for all my guests but unfortunately in this case, I was not there when you arrived. This rental went very smoothly. Thank you for kindly recommending my apartment and please come back whenever you like. |
