The apartment was great overall, and the landlord/property manager is really easy to work with and very attentive. I only have one main complaint, and that might already be fixed. The bathroom flooded three times in 6 months. A brown water, that might have contained human excrement, exited the shower drain and spilled into the hallway. It required a 2-hour clean-up and the property manager would come each time to help. After the third instance, he finally got the Syndic company to have a plumber clear out the building's water pipe. So perhaps it's fixed, but only time will tell. The building is 300+ years old, and there are often problems in that building with water and pipes.
The bar outside is sometimes noisy until midnight and the neighbors upstairs walk around a lot, but it's otherwise a quiet place. The fellow neighbors were nice and helpful. The location is very convenient to the metro, tourism and restaurants. The room itself is very clean and everything works well. The bed was good, the kitchen was complete, simple, and modern. The bathroom is hard to keep clean but very modern and comfortable.

Clark, I'm sorry that you had to deal with these water damages. I always made myself available in the hour to clean all the apartment and that each time, everything got back to normal on the very day. May I also add that there is a cleaning service and that linen is included in the rent once a month. Moreover, I only count 2 floods and not 3.
There were a tool and a stone in the waste pipe that blocked the pipes. In fact, you were my first tenant as I am a recent owner in the building and as such, I was not aware yet of all the environment (property management company, issues in the building, plumber, the person for works, etc).
It was very difficult to work with the property management company to find where the problems came from and then to ask a plumber to come to make these works. It is now done so there won't be any problem anymore. Besides, all this story enabled me to get all the necessary connections in order to organise a quick intervention in the event of a problem.
Regarding noise, a big double-paned window has been installed in the studio, glass is thick and of superior quality, so it doesn't get any better than this. The current tenant did not make comment about noise, it surely depends on everyone's sensitivity.
Thank you Clark for being the first tenant of this studio with the advantages and the potential inconveniences that it implies. Thank you for taking care of it like you did.
