This one bedroom apartment is located in Montpellier, a city located along the Mediterranean Coast of the South of France. The apartment is on the 2nd European floor (3rd American floor) of a 4-story walk-up building from the 19th century. It has a buzzer-intercom system at the main entrance for security.
Renovated in 2013, the 60m² unit (approx. 645 sq ft) is both bright and quiet. The windows provide nice views overlooking an inner courtyard with plenty of trees, as well as the front street. The living area is lined with red brick floors and white walls. It is furnished with a red sofa and matching pouf, a floor lamp, and a coffee table. The separate eat-in kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, stovetop, and eating utensils. It has adequate counter and cupboard space, and a dining table that seats four guests. The bedroom contains a double bed and an armoire. The bathroom has a shower and sink, while the toilet is in a separate room.
Between Rue Balard and Rue Roudil, this one bedroom rental is well situated within the city center. The nearest tram station, Rondelet, is just 600 meters (0.3 miles) away. You’ll also find a post office, pharmacies, bank branches, gyms and other conveniences within close proximity. If you enjoy spending time outdoors, head to the closest green space, Parc Clemenceau, which is right down the street. The Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier (1.2km / 0.7 miles) is the oldest botanical garden in France, dating all the way back to the year 1593. Visit Place de la Comédie (1.2 km), a public square that is site of the Three Graces fountain, built by sculptor Étienne d’Antoine in the18th century. Just north of there, is the Musée Fabre and all around that area you’ll find numerous bars, restaurants and cafés, where you can enjoy the authentic and traditional dishes from the Montpellier region. During your stay, you might also want to take a short trip to the neighboring cities of Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille. Further east are the famous coastal destinations of Cannes, Nice, and Monaco.
