This studio apartment is in the Mediterranean city of Montpellier, which is situated in the in the South of France. The apartment is on the 2nd European floor (3rd American floor) of a 19th century, 4-story building with no elevator. There is a buzzer-intercom system for security.
Although, the building is in the city center, the unit itself is rather quiet. The 25m² (approx. 269 sq ft) apartment was renovated in 2013. The windows allow in the natural light and overlook the tree-lined inner courtyard, as well as the street in front of the building. The living area is has hardwood floors and white walls. It is furnished with a red chair and ottoman, a white dining table for two, and a double bed. There is also a mirrored wardrobe and a wooden cubby. The open kitchen is equipped with adequate cabinet space, a refrigerator, microwave, and practical washing machine. The bathroom contains a washbasin, shower and toilet.
Located between Rue Balard and Rue Roudil, this studio apartment offers convenient access to public transportation. The closest tram station, Rondelet, is about 600 meters (0.3 miles) away. There are pharmacies, bank branches, fitness centers and other conveniences in the vicinity. Enjoy the greenery at the nearby Parc Clemenceau (down the street) and the Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier (1.2km / 0.7 miles). The latter is a historical botanical garden and arboretum with over two thousand distinct plant species. Stop by the Place de la Comédie (1.2 km), a central square that is the main focal point of the Montpellier region. The square is site of the Opéra Comédie and the Three Graces fountain. From there, head north to the Fabre Museum and explore the surrounding area, which has plenty of bars and eateries where you can enjoy some authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The South of France has many other beautiful cities worth visiting. Take a day (or weekend) trip to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille. During the summertime, Cannes, Nice, and Monaco are great destinations for relaxing, sun-filled vacations.
