This studio apartment is located on the ground floor (3 steps down) of a brownstone built in 1890 in the Hamilton Heights, an historical section of Harlem, New York City. The apartment features hardwood and ceramic floors and exposed bricks on the walls. It also offers WiFi Internet access. The double size futon sofa bed sleeps two people. A second bed can be brought in for those who prefer not to share. It has 5 insulated glass patio doors that look out onto a private yard, where the owner keeps ducks as pets. You won't have to feed the ducks. Owner will come twice a day to feed and take care of the ducks by entering a completely separate door which will not interfere with apartment. It has a separate eat-in kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove and all necessary items with which to cook. Hamilton Heights is one of the many districts of greater Harlem in Manhattan and it takes its name after Alexander Hamilton, the first U.S. secretary of the treasury, who lived here in the final years of his life, before he was killed in a duel by Aaron Burr. You can visit Hamilton Grange, the country home he designed, at 141st Street and Convent Avenue. Not far from this site, there are the Jumel Mansion, the Hispanic Institute and the American Academy of Arts & Letters. Nearby, there are City College, Columbia Medical School, Riverside Park by the Hudson River, where you can find many outdoor and indoor sports activities, like swimming, tennis, ice skating and much more. Around the corner from this New York studio apartment is Broadway, where there are lots of stores, many restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and food stores. Taxis, buses and the subway are available at all hours. The subway station is only 4 blocks away.
