One bedroom apartment in Midtown East
|
This compact apartment has an area of approximately 550 square feet and contains one bedroom and one bathroom. It sleeps two people.
The apartment is situated on the fifth floor of a walk-up building with commercial enterprises on the first two floors and residences on the other three floors. There is no doorman, and residents enter with their own keys.
This casually decorated rental offers functional modern living with the minimum of fuss. It has hardwood floors and white-painted walls, while a small window allows daylight to enter the air-conditioned living room. An Oriental rug covers most of the floor, and furniture is tucked against the walls. A sofa bed and an armchair offer seating space, inviting occupants to spend evenings curled up in front of the cable television. A wooden chest of drawers supports a lamp and a telephone, while at the same time providing storage space. A small dining table with two chairs is placed near the window.
The narrow bedroom also has a window and air-conditioning, providing light and fresh air. A bedside table supports a lamp and is placed at the head of the double-size bed. A white unit of shelves is placed under the window, creating space for storing books and magazines. The open kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, a gas cooker, a sink and a coffee maker. Cooking utensils are provided and can be stored in the wooden cabinets. The compact, white-tiled bathroom has a shower, a toilet and a cabinet that sits under the washbasin.
The canyon-like streets, exclusive boutiques and landmark buildings of the East Midtown area are part of the image of New York recognized around the world. Within this area lies a well-known department store and corporate offices of huge international companies. The opportunities for relaxation are numerous, however, ranging from sedentary coffee-drinking or eating in any of the many cafes and restaurants, to more energetic activities such as roller-blading in Central Park. Public transportation in this area is accessible.
