Studio in Midtown West close to Times Square
48th Street between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue
studio apartment in Midtown West.

This prewar building is equipped with a buzzer/intercom system.

It is well equipped with an oven, a microwave, a coffee maker and a toaster. All the appliances are provided.
The bathroom has both a shower and a tub. All the towels are provided.
It is fully furnished with a dining table, full sized murphy bed, a pull-out sofa bed, A/C, a TV with cable and a Stereo. The room has two windows, which give plenty of light.

The apartment is located on the 1st floor of the walk-up building.

Neighborhood: West of the Theater District is a residential neighborhood known as Clinton. This Midtown area has undergone an amazing revival. Its new residents are young professionals, theater people and remnants of the old immigrant groups (Irish, Greeks, Eastern Europeans and Puerto Ricans). Lots of new restaurants and bars along 9th Ave for all budgets cater to the rapidly growing newcomers. Restaurant Row (46th St between 8th and 9th Avenues) is a long block of restaurants and pubs side by side, all packed with theatergoers before curtain time. From this great location you are two blocks away from busy Times Square area and the Theater District, Within an easy walk to Central Park, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, St Patrick Cathedral and Fifth Ave. Like most centrally located New York neighborhoods, this area is bustling with activity and can sometimes be noisy.
Subways: C, E at 50th Street

We were very happy with the apartment - it was small, but clean and adequately stocked with cutlery/crockery/linen etc.
My son and I had 15 nights at [the vacation rental in New York] W49th St. We were very happy with the apartment - it was small, but clean and adequately stocked with cutlery/crockery/linen etc. The location was excellent and the owner very friendly and helpful - I would certainly stay there again. I would also like to comment on the booking process - Gisela was fantastic and provided quick and informative responses to my questions and requests. Many thanks for making our stay in New York City a fantastic one - be back as soon as I can build up the bank balance again.

The apartment was perfect, in all senses: location, standard, comfort & cosiness, safety (staircase/house, block, area)
We had a wonderful stay in New York in late October 2008, my 14 year old daughter and I. The apartment was perfect, in all senses: location, standard, comfort & cosiness, safety (staircase/house, block, area) and price level. All contacts with New York Habitat was to our full satisfaction. Thank you! I'd recommend this [vacation rental] 100 percent.

I [want to] say to you that we [had a] very nice [stay] in the apartment. [The Chelsea vacation rental] was very well located, and it was that we were looking for. [The owner] is a charming and very nice person, always to our disposition. We are really delighted with the service and without [a] doubt we are going to recommend it to our friends. I have been charmed with your city. I wait to return to see everything [that] I still [haven't].

We were very pleased with the apartment and the way transitions to get keys went.
We were very pleased with the apartment and the way transitions to get keys went. Very smooth, and in NYC it is all about location. The vacation rental had a great location near almost everything we wanted to see. I would highly recommend this service and apartment, and ultimately renting an apartment instead of getting the same old stuffy hotel room. We had a great time, and a great stay. Thank you for all your help!
