Midtown is well known for its dozens of theaters all gathered together which create one of the best acting communities in the world. People come from all over to see the Broadway plays and musicals.

The Garment District is where today's top clothing designers have studios and where many of the design schools are located. The New School's Parsons School of Design is located in the Garment District.

Hell's Kitchen is the section of Midtown West that is up against the Hudson River. At one time, the Irish Mafia was very powerful in the neighborhood therefore earning the name Hell's Kitchen. Hell's Kitchen is also home to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum which is moored at the docks along the river.

Times Square is probably the most well know of all of the parts of Midtown West. With its flashing lights and giant stores and restaurants it is really sight to see. This is where every New Years Eve thousands of people gather to watch the ball drop at midnight.

Midtown West continues to be a top spot for vacation rentals because of the large number of diverse apartments as well as the location which is truly in the heart of Manhattan. In addition 4 of the main subway lines, Penn Station and Port Authority Bus terminal are all located in Midtown West.
