This apartment is located in the Cobble Hill historic district neighborhood in Brooklyn. The 1840 Greek Revival house has been restored by the architect-owner to reveal original plaster ornamentation, stenciling, and decorative moldings. The Parlor floor apartment can be rented for up to 3 people, either as a studio or as a one-bedroom apartment.
The large studio room is equipped with a queen-sized bed, an armoire, a dresser and a kitchenette. The room has two large windows facing out to the back garden. Cable flat screen TV and DVD are available in the room. The kitchenette is basic and includes a two-burner cooktop, a sink, a fridge and a microwave. A coffee maker and toaster are available. Basic cooking supplies are provided. The bathroom is just off the studio room and is equipped with a tub/shower, w/c and sink with medicine cabinet.
The second available room is a sitting room and is separated from the studio by a set of original pocket doors. The room is fully furnished and includes a couch, several chairs, side tables, and a stereo. The room has two large windows facing out towards the street. A twin-sized bed is available in the living room.
Cobble Hill is well-known for its beautiful tree-lined streets and 19th century brownstone townhouses. The neighborhood offers a large selection of shops and restaurants. The apartment is just a short walk from the Bergen Street stop on the F,G trains and is near the main restaurant areas of Court and Smith Streets. 2, 3, 4, 5, J, R trains are 7minutes away on foot for access to all parts of the city. Manhattan is about 15 minutes away by subway.
